ManualSnap helps you find product manuals. You can use it without an account, and we collect as little as we can.

What we collect

• Searches. What you type in the search box is used to find manuals. When our library has no match, the search text is sent to Brave Search to look for the manufacturer’s official manual, and the link we find is saved for the next person.
• Manual requests. The brand, model and search text you send with “Request a manual”.
• Problem reports. The reason, your message and, only if you give it, your email address, so we can reply.
• Your IP address is used for a moment to stop abuse (a limit on how many forms one address can send per minute). We don’t store it; Cloudflare keeps short-lived security logs.

We don’t use cookies or tracking pixels, and we don’t sell or share your data for advertising. We count visits anonymously, without cookies, to see which pages are used. The app stores your saved manuals on your device only.

• Cloudflare (hosting, files and security)
• Neon (our database)
• Brave Search (searches our library can’t answer)

These providers may process data outside the EU under their standard data protection terms.

How long we keep it

Requests and reports are kept as long as we need them to add the manual or fix the problem. An email address you give with a report is deleted once we’ve dealt with it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete anything you sent us. Write to contact@manualsnap.com. If you live in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Manuals and links

Manuals often open on the manufacturer’s own website. Their privacy policy applies there, not ours.
