Important information NOTE: Switch on the appliance before pouring the mixture in the freezer bowl. This prevents the mixture from immediately freezing on the inside of the bowl.
Important information NOTE: Do not stop and start the appliance during the churning process, as the mixture may freeze the mixing paddle and prevent it from rotating.
warning 2 WARNING: To avoid overheating of the motor, the direction of rotation will change if the mixture becomes too thick. If the direction of rotation continues to change, switch off the appliance.
  8. The churning process will start by slowly rotating the mixing paddle.
  9. The ice cream is ready when the mixing paddle stopped, or you may switch off manually when the desired consistency is reached. This will take 15-30 minutes depending on the ingredients.
  10. Switch off the appliance and unplug from the wall outlet.

PROCESSING TIPS

  1. Dry the freezer bowl thoroughly and put it in a plastic bag before storing it in the freezer; condensation or water In the freezer bowl will be very difficult to remove when it is frozen. Freeze the freezer bowl in an upright position and keep it in the freezer until it is ready for use.
  2. The freezer bowl should be stored In a freezer that is operating at a temperature of below -18°C (-0.40°F) for at least 8 hours before use.
  3. Use caster sugar, as it dissolves easily. Artificial sweeteners may also be used as a substitute for sugar.
  4. Mix all ingredients in a separate bowl before pouring the mixture Into the freezer bowl.
  5. Do not add ingredients such as chocolate pieces, nuts or alcohol through the filling hole until the ice cream is almost ready.
  6. Use ripe fruit. Wash fruit thoroughly, peel it, and remove any pips or stones.
  7. Use pure fruit juice. This produces a stronger and richer flavor.
  8. Certain ingredients require heating, for example boiling of fruit or berries with sugar or melting of chocolate. Mixtures containing warm Ingredients should be left to cool and put In the fridge for 2 hours before putting in the appliance. Never process hot or warm mixtures.
  9. Always heat the mixture In low heat, never bring the mixture to boiling point. Boiling the mixture will destroy the milk texture, and needs to start again with new ingredients.
  10. The time is taken to make a frozen dessert will depend on the pre-cooling time, room temperature, and the temperature of the ingredients. As a general rule, the cooler these elements are, the faster the frozen dessert-making process.
  11. When preparing dessert mixtures that do not require pre-cooking, always use an electric mixer for maximum aeration.
  12. Foods such as cream, sugar, eggs, and milk are often the key ingredients in any ice-cream mixture. They may be substituted with similar ingredients to suit your taste and dietary requirements. For example, different varieties of cream may be used, which will produce varying flavors and textures.
  13. Avoid filling the freezer bowl completely with the mixture, leave at least 4cm from the aluminum top edge of the freezer bowl for the mixture to expand during the churning process. As a reference, the mixture for ice cream should not exceed 700m1. However, sorbets do not expand as much therefore its mixture can be up to 800m1.
  14. Ingredients such as chips, raisins, and nuts can be added through the pouring hole of the transparent lid when the ice cream starts to thicken.
  15. Alcohol inhibits the freezing process. If adding alcohol to a recipe, add when the mixture is almost ready. One way to judge this is when the mixture expands to the top of the mixing bowl.
  16. The flavor of sorbet will depend on the ripeness and sweetness of the fruit or juice. If the fruit or juice is too tart, add extra sugar in the mixture. Remember that once frozen, your recipe will not taste as sweet as the original mixture.
  17. The consistency of the ice cream and sorbet will be best served when it is spoon-able. For the best result, we recommend transferring it to an airtight container and store it in a freezer for an extra 2 hours.
  18. Frozen desserts may be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks if it is airtightly sealed.
